Coding for Beginners /Intermediate 

The students will use a programming language called Scratch. Scratch is a visual programming language developed by the MIT Media Lab. This easy to use and user friendly interface makes learning Scratch easy and engaging. This class is designed to teach computational thinking using a simple but powerful building-block approach to software. The students will learn the basics like: loops, if and or statements etc. Scratch is a phenomenal language developed for young coders and it promises to build a strong coding foundation for kids.


No Prior experience required.

Class Dates Thursdays 01/30/20, 02/06/20, 02/13/20, 02/20/20, 02/27/20, 03/05/20 No Class, 03/12/20, 03/19/20
Duration Class will be held in the Computer Lab from 2:45 - 3:45 p.m.
Max. Class Size 7 Student minimum, and 20 student max
Makeup Session If an instructor is absent, classes will be made up by adding 30 minutes to the following 2 classes.
Refund Policy No refunds after the start date & classes are not prorated
Note Instructors will pick up 1st grade students at the classroom at 2:33 p.m. 2nd-5th grade students are responsible to come to the computer lab on their own by 2:45 p.m.
